The Flower City Show

Prepare yourself for an evening of cartoons, claymation, live action, and the avant garde as Empire Film and Media Ensemble presents its newest program, The Flower City Show.

In this concert, an orchestral ensemble of 13 perform the scores of six unique films live to picture, two of which are world premieres. Although the style and genre of the scores change dramatically from film to film, one thread holds it all together; each work has strong ties to this Flower City. Many of the shorts, like the multi-award winning film Aquarium by Stephanie Maxwell feature directors and composers who studied in Rochester.

The performance will be held at 8pm the UUU Gallery, 153 State Street, Rochester, New York 14614. The doors open at 7:30pm with DJ_Electrotuba. All ages welcome.

Parking is available on State Street or in the parking lot located behind the UUU off Fitzhugh Street.
